September flew by! and its time for another net worth update. I did travel to financial capital, NYC. It was a trip to remember, below picture sums it all. Yes! Finally saw, walked, experienced Wall St. Will write all about this trip in a different post.
“I began playing Monopoly for real when I was 26 years old. Today, my wife and I have about 1,400 little green houses – each paying us monthly. You do not have to be a rocket scientist or have a Harvard degree to play Monopoly for real”
– Robert Kiyosaki
This month was a blood bath. Index moved up but the stocks those I have invested in, not much and yesterday index fell down by 450 points! US presidential election are nearing, a little skeptical with equity market.
History tells us that ‘Markets bound to fall during presidential election at US of A’ – This can hit your net worth real bad!
This month my close friend called me up and discussed about a new auto company listed in equity market 3 years ago, so spent large part of my nights analyzing this particular company. Definitely my friend has come up with a gem of company, but! there is always a but 🙂 I want to wait before investing in this company. I want to get my belief back in India, I want to feel confident about Indian equity market before I invest again. Anyways I have just analyzed the company, did not invest. Let me mint some more money and keep it ready for investing by year-end or when the market falls.
I set aside 40K INR on debt fund. Emergency fund has taken hit for sometime now, it needs serious cash in coming month 🙂 Did not invest anything in equity this month. My investment on Apollo Tyre 3.5 weeks back gave me a return of 28%, I did not book profit, will be holding for over 10 years from now. Overall nothing existing on money front. Also my US savings does not look that great, it is so difficult to manage cost and rest in the tracker hence I have decided to trim the details off.
